Losing Herself In The Service Of Others
- Tell us a bit about yourself:I am Maimuna Ahmednur, founder and chairperson of Latt Dharara CBO that deals with girl child education. I am also a fellow at the Public Service Emerging Leaders Fellowship Programme, which aims to create a new generation of public servants committed to social impact.
- What do you love about your work?
I love a lot of aspects about my work. The most significant is the fact that each year, I get to meet different young minds whom I get to mentor. - Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I see myself starting a foundation that assists in the education of pastrolist girls past secondary education, especially girls from vulnerable households.
- What message do you have for young leaders? If young leaders can develop their skills, they can be formidable force for change.
- What would you like your legacy to be?I want to be remembered as someone who has made a difference in the world, that I can bounce back every time the world throws a curve ball at me. I want one day for my children to be proud and say, ” Wow, mum had an impact on the world.” I want what everyone wants, to be more than ordinary.
