Flair and action as Sakaja Super Cup round three matches thrill fans across Nairobi

The Sakaja Super Cup fixtures produced scintillating scenes across various grounds in the Saturday and Sunday action packed round of matches as the tournament entered the third round.

In Kamukunji Sub County, Burma FC made mince meat out of Makali FC inflicting a 5-0 drubbing in a thrilling, lop sided match.

Joram Kikoro, Felix Wesonga, Jared Odhiambo, Enos Omanyo and Daniel Odour were all on the score sheet for Burma. Makali were reduced to ten men as John Kimani saw red for a reckless tackle.

In Kasarani Sub County, Kamal FC defeated Plan B Academy 5-3 in an eight goal thriller. Plan B Academy was first on the score sheet after Methuselah Ambala found the back of the net in the 1st minute. Maina Maxwell responded in the 5th minute with a clinical finish. Kigotho Victor added a second for Kamal in the 20th minute before Joseph Mwaura leveled for Plan B Academy at the half hour mark. Maina Maxwell added a third for his brace in the 43rd minute to send Kamal top into the break. Kelvin Ndungu scored for Plan B in the 67th minute to make thing level for a thid time.  But it was late strikes by Blester Frank in the 85th minute and Muzima Espoir in the 88th minute that sealed the victory for Kamal.

 It was a goal galore in other matches in Kasarani as clay City edged out Ruai Youth 2-1 with goals from  Induti Mike in the 17 th minute and Otinga Brandon in the 87th minute with Ruai Youth’s goal courtesy of Joseph Maina who found the back of the net in the 84th minute.

Made in the Streets were victorious over Maaji FC with a 2-1 win after goals from Shalom Andrew and Onyango Jimmy secured the street boys maximum points. Maaji’s consolation was courtesy of Dennis Kiarie who scored in the 45th minute.  

Kamulu United beat Reliable base 2-0 with goals courtesy of Kiruru Ibrahim in the 12th minute and Salum Elisha who struck in the 63rd minute.

Back in  Mathare Sub County, Julius burger pipped Madoya 2-0 as Lula FC hammered Shantit 5-0. Comrades played out a barren draw with Wakanda as Mlango Kubwa United were also held to a goalless draw by Imara FC.

Embakasi South Sub County saw Gateway draw 1-1 with Rising City as Sun City defeated 5-3, FC Barca. Bokastars were held 1-1 by Legends as Reuben United drew 1-1 Nyati FC.

In Roysambu Sub County, Kamiti FC were victorious over Roysambu sharks with two goals from Opiyo Stephen in the 64th minute and Opiyo Stephen in the 73rd to seal Kamiti’s victory.

PAC University came from a goal down to defeat Saints 2-1 with goals from Onyango Brighton in the 43rd minute and Indire Alanvs in the 76th minute. Saints had drawn first blood with a 32nd minute strike from Oscar Odhiambo before the University side re-grouped to claim victory.

Roysambu FC drew 2-2 with City Sports. Roysambu got their goals from Antony Mutenyo in the 55 th minute and Much Ishmail in the 86 minute as City Sports scored courtesy of a 1st minute goal by Omondi Kennedy and a late strike by Ngugi Stephen in the 80th minute.

City Lions were humiliated in-front of their home fans soaking in five goals from Kahawa Pride before they pulled one back for a 1-5 scoreline.

In the Embakasi North matches, Dandora Phase 2 FC beat Dandora Mamba 4-1 as Shinners drew 1-1 with Dandora Walcy. Dandora Hotspurs put 5 past Dandora Derby as Dandora Flamingo were hels 1-1 by Dandora Fullnesco.

In Embakasi South Sub County, Gateway played out a 1-1 draw with Rising City

In Kamukunji Sub County, Usacli won away to Biafra kamaliza with two goals Mohamed Liban and Mohamed Yusuf making the difference. Stephen Wambua of Biafra Kamaliza was sent off.

California friends beat Simba Matata 2-1 while Eastleigh youth drew 1-1 with Kinyago United. In Embakasi East, Utawala Youth beat Youth Vision 2-0 as Tumaini FC were 3-0 victorious over Embakasi East FC. Soweto All Stars beat Utawala United 3 – 1 and Soweto Hope edged Unfit by a solitary goal. In Ruaraka, at the Babadogo Grounds, Lucky summer warriors beat Titans 2-0 as Babadogo Babes were victorious over Korogocho Legends. Homeboys beat Korogocho Youth 2-0 while GSU drew 2-2 with St. John.

In the matches played in Dagoretti North Sub County, Kabiro Youth played out a 1-1 draw with Siesta while Boca Juniors won 3-1 over Protouch. Costa Rica drew 1-1 with Kakamega while Classic won by a solitary goal against Ikulu.

In Starehe Sub County matches, Kisima FC drew 1-1 with  MCC while Kawasaki FC drubbed Racecourse 4-1. Korogez were held to a 1-1 draw by South B combined as Macmillan FC won 3-2 against NHU. Ajax beat FC Lion 4-0 as Dragao lost 1-2 to Riverbank. Country Bus beat Kayaba 4-1.

In Kibra Sub County, Aqsa Fc won 1-0 over Mashimoni as InterBase Fc drew 2-2 with Kenya Science Ballers. Laini Saba beat Casablanca 1-0 while Katwekera all stars played settled on a goalless draw with Golf Course united. Ruaraka Sub-County, Green Rabbits were beaten 1- 2 by Royal Stars.

In other results from matches played today, Sunday 29th, in Dagoretti South Sub County, Riruta 105 FC beat Uthiru Dreamers 2-1 with goals from Charles Kung’u and Collins Otieno.
