The Matatu Owners Association has asked the government to give them security during country demonstrations spearheaded by the opposition leader Raila Odinga.

This comes after a matatu was burnt to ashes yesterday along Ngong road as it came from Ngong to town.Passengers were robbed however there were no casualties.There has been a rising case of insecurity since demonstrations began early this year and inspite of government warnings asking people to stop and for peace to prevail demonstrations have persisted countrywide.

After yesterday’s incident the matatu owners association has raised an alarm regarding damaging of matatus and buses during demonstrations stating that people will now be afraid to travel when there are demonstrations and upheaval in the country.
