The Carlstic Group Ltd, a leading Brand Communications agency in Kenya, on Thursday announced that George Wachiuri, Optiven Group Founder & CEO will participate in a panel discussion during the 6th Annual CEOs Breakfast in Nairobi on February 16th, 2023.

The panel topic is “Radical Transformation, Thriving in Uncertainty” and Mr. Wachiuri among other panelists will hold discussions on how local business leaders can become more focused and develop capabilities to thrive in a world of uncertainties.

The award-winning pacesetter has shared his journey where he successfully built his multi-billion real estate firm despite failing tens of times, true evidence of being relentless in the pursuit of his goals.

Today, Wachiuri is not only a successful business mogul but also a published author and philanthropist.

Besides venturing into real estate, he also steers strategic business units in the hospitality wing. Wachiuri runs the biggest theme park in the country Viz GMC funpark Kitengela, and he runs successful South African franchise, Eagle Peak Spur, a high-end restaurant in Karen and Panarottis in the Waterfront Mall.

Besides his successful business ventures, Mr. Wachiuri is also the Chairman and Trustee of Optiven Foundation, a charitable organization which provides homes, food donations and scholarships for the less fortunate members of society, founded with the aim of creating positive impact on communities, partners and stakeholders through sustainable social economic programs.

A month ago, Optiven was represented at the 10th edition of the Annual Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Conference and the expo at the Strathmore university by the Group CEO Mr. George Wachiuri, and team members from the Conversion.

The two-day event was held on 17th and 18th November 2022, at the Strathmore Makadara campus where over 400 owners of small and medium enterprises attended to collaborate with the government on the way forward.

In his address, Wachiuri singled out levies by the government and its agencies as one of the key burdens for small and medium enterprises. Sharing statistics on the same, Wachiuri advised that over the last 5 years, 2.2 million businesses had wrapped up owing to challenges of doing business.

Wachiuri further challenged the government on access to procurement deals with the government, targeted to the SME sector. He added that the government remains focal in advocating for local manufacturing and encouraging the masses to buy Kenya and build Kenya, while relaxing the tax regulations related to the disbursement of funds under the Hustler Fund.
