Kariobangi North MCA aspirant and front runner Michael Ouma Majua culminated his campaigns ahead of the ODM party primaries in style exuding confidence at clinching the coveted ticket.
In a show of might, Ouma conducted a six hours of roadshows that snaked through the streets of Kariobangi in what clearly depicted who has the numbers in Kariobangi heading into the September 29th nominations.
The Caravan started at Karioangi shopping center to Soko ya mawe, Route 26 to Light industries, Kithembe, Kamash, Darfur and Downtown, culminating back at Soko Mawe.
The roadshow attracted an approximate over five thousand supporters as a clear indication of who was going to win the ODM ticket and eventually the MCA seat which fell vacant following the sudden demise of former MCA Joel Munuve.
Every opinion poll conducted ahead of the party primaries by independent research organizations have consistently put Michael Ouma Majua a head of his opponents.
Ouma the immediate former FKF National Executive member for Nairobi is seeking to return to elective politics after he represented the Kariobangi North ward following a by election in 2010.
ODM party is working hard to win back the seat which they previously won easily until 2013 when a botched nomination exercise costed the party’s loss in the ward. A won for ODM’s Ouma, nicknamed “Ndovu” is viewed as a return to winning ways by ODM and will set the tempo for a tough battle in the city between the ruling UDA party and ODM ahead of the 2027 general elections.
