Former Embakasi West Member of Parliament George Theuri is a man on a mission. Theuri, who served as Embakasi West MP for 10 years has kick started his re election bid ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.
In various social media posts, Theuri went out to call on his supporters to stay calm as he has been re-stategizing for a grand comeback noting that everything comes to you at the right time.
I call on you to be patient and trust the process. I shall be back and I will bounce back in 2027, so just be patient” Theuri said.
While noting that he has learnt from his failures in the 2022 elections when he was ousted by the current Mark Mwenje, the seasoned legislator said that the time for suffering does not last long and he is going to bounce back much better.
“Mateso ni kwa muda tuu; jikazeni tu. Aluta contunua. My blunder at the last election was a learning experience and I have corrected where we went wrong. This is our countdown to 2027,” Theuri said.
In 2013, Theuri became the first Embakasi West MP on a TNA ticket beating ODM’s Brian Weke after garnering 40,606 votes against his 35,333.
In 2017, he was re-elected under the Jubilee Party, beating Tom Agimba of ODM with 47,848 votes, against Agimba’s 30,983 votes.
Following his failed re election bid in 2022, Theuri thanked the people of Embakasi west noting that services to the people was key and he called on the electorate to support the current MP even as he plans for a come back.
Theuri has been on record, keeping on touch with the electorate in the larger Embakasi West while at the we time, ensuring that he keeps working for the people in his personal capacity.
Born and raised in Umoja’s Eastlands estate, Theuri was elected as Umoja One councillor in 2007 before moving up to parliament in 2013.
