8th February 2023, Hennessy hosted an exclusive listening party and launch of Octopizzo’s new music album, “Lamu Nights,” at the Emara Ole Sereni.
The event brought together key players in the music industry and media, who were treated to an exceptional live performance of the album by Octopizzo.
The ten-record album is in collaboration with singers like Lisa Oduor, Wendy Kay, Jivu, Buruklyn Boyz, and Okello Max, among others.
The record is predicted to elevate Octopizzo to a new echelon of rap fame, set the stage for a new chapter, one that’ll be epic, authentic, and in rank, one that doubles up, only to expose what the world already knew about him: his innate understanding of the world around him, and the surroundings that made him.
Speaking about the event, Market Manager Moet Hennessy Gboyega Ogunfuye said, “Creativity has always been a crucial element of Hennessy’s DNA. We see it as a pure expression of freedom. That is why we have a long history of supporting artistic creativity. Hennessy has had a past and a definite future with music and will continue to provide a platform for artistes, blending music, talent, influences, and Cognac.”
On this latest album, “Lamu Nights,” where one of the songs – “Eau De Vie” – was recorded at Chateau de Bagnolet located in Cognac, France, Octopizzo keeps on building on his reputation, brick by brick, as a relentless rhapsodist, all while being grounded, constantly remembering his journey.
“This project has been a bigger success than I expected. The album’s reception is overwhelmingly positive, even though this is not a rap/hip-hop album like the previous ones; this is pure R&B and soul, and everyone is enjoying the music. It’s extremely satisfying. More positive vibes and experimental music is on the way.” added Octopizzo
Hennessy invites cognac lovers to listen to the Lamu Nights Album and embrace and celebrate the individuals who possess a pioneering spirit.
