Popular political activist Calvince Okoth, popularly known as Gaucho has distanced himself from the disturbing scenes witnessed in the Nairobi CBD last Thursday, following the riotous demonstrations that rocked the city leaving two vehicles burnt to ashes and businesses looted.

The self proclaimed ghetto President, has added his voice to the already loud voices of possible political infiltration of the demonstrations where Kenyans went out to the streets demanding justice following the death of teacher and influencer Albert Ojwang who was murdered in the hands of Police.

Gaucho asserted that he was in no way involved in the chaos which saw two vehicles burnt to ashes outside Kenya Cinema along Moi Avenue.

While calling for justice to be served to the family of the late Ojwang, Gaucho condemned those who infiltrated Thursday’s demonstrations and called on law enforcement officers to expedite investigations to curb the menace.

Gaucho noted that the demonstrations were well organized and for a good cause but faulted goons who were sent by politicians to infiltrate the protests and lead to a confrontation between the rioters and police.

In his assessment, Gaucho pointed fingers at powerful politicians noting that if impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua could plan for chaos while still in office, he was as well capable of planning the mayhem seen in Nairobi while in opposition to seek political mileage.
