Kenya’s largest and fastest growing supermarket chain Naivas supermarket has opened its 90th outlet at Birongo Square in Nairobi West along Gandhi Road as it continues with its expansion push.
The new outlet is located on the ground floor which was previously occupied by the struggling Uchumi Supermarket. Residents in the area have been suffering without a fully stocked supermarket nearby following Uchumi’s woes. It was a Christmas come early for shoppers who flocked in for shopping soon after its official launch.
The new Naivas outlet will serve residents in Madaraka, Nairobi West, South C, South B, estates on Lang’ata road and even some Lang’ata residents.
This brings its total number of operational outlets to 90, having opened two other outlets in Meru and Ruai town recently. Naivas will open its final store this year in Uthiru on December 15th.
Naivas was established 32 years ago with its first branch being in Nakuru. It is among Africa’s fastest-growing companies in Africa.
