Webuye West parliamentary aspirant on United Democratic Party ticket, Kelly Walubengo has vowed to put a spirited legal battle to challenge election of incumbent , Dan Wanyama of UDA.

In a press conference today Walubengo has said his legal team is building a mother of all petition to challenge the results declared by IEBC.

Walubengo has cited election malpractice , fraud and skewed process that he says tainted the credibility of the exercise.

“ The will of the people is supreme. We cant allow some few selfish individuals in the name of IEBC officials to subvert it. Electoral justice must be delivered to the people.” Said Walubengo.

He accused the returning officer , Peris Saina of leading a flawed process.

Police had rough time to calm the public that turned rowdy after ballot boxes suspected to have been a subject of fraud made it’s way into the tallying centre.

The public blocked the vehicle prompting the police to fire teargas in the air to disperse the angry mob.

Walubengo had earlier challenged the suitability of the constituency tallying centre through a legal process.

He challenged the gazzetment of Chebosi High School as a tallying centre.

The court in Kakamega set aside the matter citing time bad.

Peris Saina declared Dan Wanyama a winner with 14476 votes. Kelly Walubengo garnered 12271 votes.
