By Nick Manduku

The Kenya Medical Professionals have called upon Kenyans to embrace peace before, during, and after the general elections to boost health care services in the nation.

They noted that it’s a democratic right of all Kenyans to vote in new leaders every five year term to take the nation to the next level.

They demanded the county governments to pay salaries of the health workers so they may be able to participate in the elections.

The bodies which consisted of the Kenya Medical Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union(KMPDU),health workers unions associations, and societies have also urged the Chebukati led commission to conduct a free, fair and credible elections that reflects the will of Kenyans.

“We hope that the pair we are going to elect on 9th August will reform the health sector and offer job satisfaction to health workers. We hope that both the new national and county government will employ more health workers to achieve the Universal Health Care Coverage,” they said.
